| Walton Feed, a major supplier of dehydrated food and food storage is located in the town of Montpelier, in the south east corner of Idaho. You can get to Montpelier on Route 30 from Pocatello or Kemmer, or Route 89 from Logan or Afton, Wyoming. Either route has beautiful scenery. |
| Montpelier has a population of 2,656 people. The town's main industry is agriculture. In fact, Walton "Feed" gets it's name from the large animal feed operation it runs locally. Several large trucks arrive and depart every day from this part of their operation alone. |
| Walton's store is located at 135 North 10th Street on the west side of town. Though a small company by the world's standard, Walton's is one of the larger employers in Montpelier with 150 employees. The business is in it's 52nd year of service. |
| Their local store caters to the farmers living in the area. Their customers purchase many different types of small hand tools, hardware, medicines for their farm animals, lubricants for their farm machinery... a whole assortment of things too numerous to list here. Even though their store is small, they have an amazing variety of things. You can drive to Montpelier yourself and save the shipping charges. You can pick up wheat grinders, bread mixers, books and some of their canned goods at the head office. This is also where you pay for your order. |
| But you will have to drive 1/4 mile west to their warehouse for pickup. This is Gary and Rick, the foremen at the warehouse. Their warehouse operation is geared toward shipping, but they are happy to serve you if you should choose to drive. See our update page for the next available pick up dates. |
| During the latter part of 1998 we built our new warehouse which freed up a huge amount of room for our can packing operation. |
